B. MEMBER MESSAGES
This section features messages from the leaders of the newly-established
SIGs, and will be available for the next few weeks to assist the new
SIGs in publicising their groups and organising their meetings.

SIG: Computational Astrophysical Fluid Dynamics (CAFD) SIG
The Computational Astrophysical Fluid Dynamics (CAFD) SIG welcomes all
researchers pursuing greater understanding of the role fluid processes
play in the evolution of our Universe. We would like to reach out and
invite all those interested to contact Dr László Könözsy at
laszlo.konozsy at cranfield.ac.uk.

SUBJECT: Jason Reese Chair of Multiscale Fluid Mechanics
The late Professor Jason Reese founded and nurtured the Multiscale Fluid
Mechanics Group within the Institute for Multiscale Thermofluids (IMT)
in the School of Engineering at the University of Edinburgh. The
successful candidate will be an internationally prominent researcher in
Multiscale Fluid Mechanics who will provide leadership for the group,
maintain its momentum and realise the full potential of the area for the
Institute, School and wider University. The successful candidate will
have a record of winning substantial external research funding and will
be in a position to make a strong application for the next round of the
Royal Academy of Engineering Chairs in Emerging Technologies, expected
to open in October 2019.
