<p style="padding-left: 30px;">The UKFN Executive Committee has agreed to fund two additional Special Interest Groups. They must be distinct from the SIGs that have been funded to date (see <a href="https://fluids.ac.uk/sig">https://fluids.ac.uk/sig</a>).</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">Each successful SIG will be allocated £2,000, to be used to fund a Kick-off meeting. Please note funding is through reimbursement of the meeting costs, rather than an up-front payment: the meeting host pays, and then invoices UKFN for reimbursement afterwards. Eligible expenses are:</p>
<p style="padding-left: 60px;">- Venue hire<br />- Catering<br />- Accommodation<br />- Travel</p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><strong>The meeting must have been completed by 31 January 2020, </strong>and the invoice for reimbursement received by 15 February 2020. </p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;">Applications should consist of a proposal using the template below, and should be emailed to <a href="mailto:sig@ukfluids.ac.uk">sig@fluids.ac.uk</a> by <strong>Friday 20 September 2019</strong>. The results will be announced by 30 September 2019, and the SIGs chosen will formally start on 1 October 2019.</p>
